No, I will work with anyone (any background, any religion) as long as it’s a good fit and if I have the training or skillset to get you to your goals! If we find it is not a good fit during the consultation call, then I will provide you a referral to another clinician that may be a better fit.

I do not take insurance at this time. However I desire counseling to be accessible to you. So….I can check your “Out of Network” Benefits and see if your insurance will cover some or most of the cost of therapy. If this is the way we proceed, I will provide you with something called a Superbill which you will submit to your insurance company for reimbursement of the counseling fee. This means you will have to pay upfront, but you will be reimbursed for the portion the insurance company agrees to reimburse.
Because I do not take insurance (also known as private pay) this gives me freedom to treat your mental health symptoms without the restrictions of insurance. Sometimes insurance companies give a limit to how many sessions they will pay for. This also frees up more time for me to focus on you instead of filing insurance claims. Additionally, there is a bit more privacy for you as an insurance company does not see your medical record or diagnoses.

You can use any major credit card, debit card, or a Health Savings Account.

I personally have been to therapy in person and online. I like both! Online therapy has the benefit of being very, very convenient! No driving to an office and trying to find parking.
With virtual therapy all you need is a private space to talk and you are good to go! Virtual therapy also allows me to serve the entire state of Maine from Fort Kent to Kittery.
Research has shown us that online/virtual therapy is just as effective as in-person therapy.
If you are unsure about your ability to utilize technology to participate in online therapy I can provide referrals to a few therapist who provide in-person services.
**Due to licensing and ethics, I can only offer virtual therapy to those who are physically in the state of Maine at the time of the appointment.
